“Shine the Light of Christ” 
 John 8:12-20

Intro: Review OT Feast of Tabernacles (Shelters); 2 great ceremonies: water (Isa 12:3; John 7:37-39) and light (John 8:12; 1 John 1:5)

1. Jesus said “I Am the Light of the world” (Isa 9:2, 49:6; Luke 1:78-79; Exo 13:21-22; Ps 36:9)

A. Jesus is the Bread of Life (Exo 16; John 6:35); 

B. Jesus is Living Water (Exo 17:6; John 7:37-39; Zech 14:8; 

     Isa 12:3; John 4:10-14); 

 C. Jesus is the Light of the World (John 8:12) 

 2. “Whoever follows me” (Mt 16:24-26)

 3. “Will never walk in darkness” (Col 1:13-14)

 4. “But will have the light of life” (Ps 119:105; Eph 5:8; Matt 5:14-16; John 1:4-5; Phil 2:15)
